A34 Portway Bridge Maintenance
The Highways Agency will be carrying out essential maintenance work to the joints of the Portway Bridge on the A34 near Harwell.
The work is re-scheduled to start on Monday 16 January 2012, and should take five weekdays to complete, weather permitting. To reduce disruption to road users and for the safety of the site staff, work will be undertaken during off-peak day time hours (9am to 5pm), when traffic flows are at their lowest.
There will be no traffic management restrictions on the main A34 carriageway, however there will be a lane closure with temporary traffic lights on the A417 bridge. [that's the one by the Kingswell].
