Tracking developments at Great Western Park is sometimes a bit of a challenge. Direct links to pages in the SODC planning database often fail or move, so the other option is to follow the manual route to the application.

The planning application went to SODC in 2002, but was not approved until many years leter, with conditions.

The planning application reference is P02/W0848/O and nearly everything can be found under that reference. The S106 agreement is the legal framework for all the additional things the developers must do, over and above building houses. The conditions imposed are defined within the application page, but are not numbered on the website. This makes life difficult, because as the developers proceed they apply to be discharged from condition so and so, but with no numbering of the original conditions its hard to work out to what each discharge refers.

Some conditions are technical, but most refer to the need for overall strategies and frameworks, or to the development of specific phases. Key applications are listed here, but this page is not a definitive statement of what's happening at GWP - you should always refer to the SODC website.
