A Houseboy at Harwell

I was house-boy at Tudor House. I'd left school; that was when Mrs Dunne was there, and Mrs Dunne's sister, she was a strong suffragette. I had to pump the water out of the well. No water, no gas. That was a little ol' hand iron pump. Horrible thing. I used to count how many pumps filled the tank. When you were at that you weren't in any other mischief.
