UPDATE from VWHDC Planners 30.3.2020 –

Given the current national situation, work has started on site at the developer’s risk ahead of determining the application (see timetable of works). I can confirm the principle of the proposal is accepted and I gave pre-application advice on the proposal earlier this year. Public consultation runs until the 24th April and we hope to determine the application early May.

Glencar has been appointed as main contractor for the shell works. They commenced works on site today, mainly site preparation over the next few weeks, including:

• Site Mobilisation
• Site Strip inc Tree / Hedge Removal
• Bulk Earthworks inclusive of C&F / Soil Modification site wide
• Adaption of proposed Haul Road to provide Access / Egress to site going forward

The latest project programme key milestones are as follows:

• Commencement on site: 30 March 2020
• Acceleration works: 30 March – 29 May 2020
• Basebuild works: 01 June – 09 October 2020
• Early access: 01 September 2020
• Fitout works: 01 September 2020 – 02 April 2021
• Qualification and commissioning: 02 April – 30 April 2021
• Project Completion = 30 April 2021
