Road closures will be operating
Highways England has advised
We’ll shortly be replacing the existing Advance Directional Sign, located on the approach to the A34 southbound exit slip road at the A4130 Milton Interchange. We’ll also be repairing the edge of carriageway along the southbound exit slip road.
We’re removing ‘Chilton’ and ‘Harwell Campus’ place names from the signs, so road users take advantage of the new Chilton exit slip road.
For the safety of our workforce and customers, the following closures will be in place at night (9pm to 6am):
• Monday 11 October 2021 for three nights – closure of the A34 southbound exit slip road the Milton Interchange
• Thursday 14 October 2021 for two nights – closure of the A34 southbound carriageway from the A423 Hinksey Hill junction to the A4130 Milton Interchange
During the closure of the Milton slip road, a signed diversion will be in place via the Chilton Interchange, then returning north on the A34 to Milton.
During the closure of the A34 southbound, a signed diversion will be in place via the A423 to the Heyford Hill roundabout, south on the A4074 and Port Way to Wallingford, then west along the A4130.
Please note that these works are subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. Closures will be advertised on yellow signs placed in advance alongside the A34 and on our South-East Twitter page (@HighwaysSEAST).
We would like to apologise in advance for any inconvenience or disruption you may experience during this work.
