VWHDC will be collecting real Christmas trees for recycling in the New Year
For residents who are signed up to the garden waste service, they can put real Christmas trees out next to the brown bin on the scheduled garden waste collection day in January. Trees must be cut to less than 6ft.
This year, trees can also be dropped off at the recreation ground car park, Westfield, for collection on Monday 20th January 2020. Trees left after this date will not be collected. Please make sure your tree is cut to less than 6 feet & leave it next to the recycling bins at the left of the car park entrance.

Can we take our tree to the recreation ground car park again for recycling ?
clerk says
Yes, the Vale will be collecting again in about the second week in January.

Hi,
The statement says that the trees are going to be collected during the normal garden waste schedule. For us this was on Friday the 8th of January 2021, however, I have called them today (BIFFA) and they have stated that this program has been cancelled.
When should I expect my Brown bin and Christmas tree to be collected?
Many thanks in advance,
Cornel.
clerk says
The Vale has confirmed that garden waste collections are suspended until further notice but that real Christmas trees will be collected from the recreation ground car park in week beginning 18th January.
