Hi Fleur, there is a Book Club, but I no longer know who’s leading. Suggest you put a note on Facebook. Com/harwellvillagecommunity to get yourself invited. If you don’t do FB, Vicky next door will post on it for you, I’m sure. Liz, Church Lane.

Is there a history club? I caught a glimpse of it in the Harwell village paper but I haven’t been able to get a copy

Above, there is a listing, and contact details, for the Harwell History Group. You can also see the latest Harwell News on this website (http://www.harwellparish.co.uk/harwell-news/) and on page 9 you will see the article about the History Group.

Can you tell me if Harwell has a Community Befriending Scheme or something similar? Look forward to hearing from you. Thanks.

      Dear Kate
      Thank you for your message.
I don’t know of any specific scheme in the parish but several local organisations have search facilities for befrienders – Oxfordshire Volunteers might be a good starting point, website address https://oxonvolunteers.org

my wife and I are moving to Kings Lane Harwell from Didcot, at the end of February/Early March.

Are there any allotments available in the village?
    regards Jon and Lydia Gardner
