The sad death of the Duke of Edinburgh will affect many people, and many residents will want to remember and recognise his service.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, councils cannot host physical books of condolence as it is not safe to do so. If you would like to share a message, please sign Buckingham Palace’s online book of condolence at royal.uk. This will close at 5pm on the day after the funeral.
The council’s meetings schedule will be affected until after the national period of mourning, which will end on 18th April.
The council meeting on 13th April, Annual Parish Meeting on 15th April, Staff Building Committee meetings on 16th & 23rd April and the Planning Committee meeting on 22nd April have all been cancelled or postponed. No meetings can take place until 23rd April at the earliest – this is the new date of the April parish council meeting.
Updates will follow shortly.
