Public exhibition 13 February
News from VWHDC –
You will be aware that since the fire at our former headquarters in 2015 we have working on plans to return to our site at Crowmarsh Gifford.
After we received feedback from our neighbours, staff and councillors and the wider community our project team met with town and parish councillors to further discuss our desire to build new offices. Sustainability is at its heart while also working with our allocated budgets.
We are now well into the design phase of the project and are holding a public exhibition and feedback day alongside Ridge, our partners who are designing and project managing the delivery of our new building at our current offices at 135, Eastern Avenue, Milton Park Abingdon OX14 4SB, on Thursday 13 February from 7am-7pm. Parking is limited on site so please consider using public transport. More details can be found on the Milton Park website.
It is very important to us as a primary local stakeholder that you are actively involved in this process. I would therefore like to invite you to come along to this event and see the design we have developed. You are very welcome to come along at any time between 7am and 7pm – there’s no need to register, you can just show up.
As well as seeing the design and finding out more about our sustainability focus on this project you will also be able to help name the new building from a shortlist suggested by our staff.
If you are unable to attend on that day of the event, there will also be a chance to access the design online, leave any comments and show your preference for a name for our new building via this link between 7am on Thursday 13 February and midnight on Sunday 16 February.
N.B. this survey link will not work outside of the stated times. If you experience problems accessing the design online, please refer to our website at southoxon.gov.uk where there will also be links.
In addition to any observations that you may have on the current design you can put forward your views in due course during the formal planning application process.
If you have any questions in the meantime, please contact Fiona Leighton, Corporate Projects Officer on 01235 422168
